New Sydney Metro West to bring transformational change to Five Dock

Located in Sydney’s Inner West, Five Dock is poised to undergo transformational change with suburb planned to accommodate a new metro station as part of the Sydney Metro West project. In response, the City of Canada Bay initiated masterplanning for the Five Dock precinct.

What We Did

Atlas carried out financial feasibility testing to understand the viability of different development typologies in the precinct, and their tolerance to on-site infrastructure obligations and Affordable Housing contributions. Atlas aggregated the feasibility findings to provide precinct-wide guidance for Council.

The Outcome

The Five Dock Masterplan and Planning Proposal was submitted to the NSW Government in March 2026 and is awaiting Gateway Determination.
